Be a TRICK, TREAT, or hit the cap city with your BOO for spooky Halloween fun!

LANSING - CALLING ALL ADULTS: after you make plans for the children to have their costumes, neighborhood routes, and a fun evening, it's time to focus on YOUR Halloween plans. Or did you not know Lansing will be alive and intoxicated for the yearly time of costumes, candy, and fun. However instead of a day, the capital city is shaping up for an all-out fun weekend! Next Up News is keeping its ear to the concrete to uncover just what all the 517 will have shaking up for Halloweekend! Check out what's to do for October vibes:

Spooktacular Halloween Mixer

Hosted by Smoothie Queen, Lansing's favorite smoothie and fruit bowl shop, the Spooktacular Halloween Mixer will be an excellent event to kickoff a buzzing Halloweekend. Head to Rotary Park and rub shoulders with people ranging from city-folk to unbelievable business owners! Oh, and don't forget your costume - you may win a cash prize for it!

The Mic Massacre 7

Looking to get Halloween vibes rolling early? Urban Beat in Lansing is putting on its annual Mic Massacre a couple weekends prior to the Halloween action (16th). A trip to oldtown and a walk north of Brenke Fish Ladder will lead you directly to the doorstep of this urban bar and club known for high-level city fun. The Mic Massacre is what it sounds like - a night-long demolition of a mic and stage by many of your favorite local rappers/musicians!

The Doll House's Halloween Party

The Doll House will surely bring the sexy to the weekend. Usually known for its stylish clothing and accessories, for Halloweekend it will open its doors to the girls, guys, and ghouls. Don't be petty - come have fun at one of the best boutiques in the city!

Drag Me To Ellison Halloween Brunch

After a Halloweekend of costumes and drinks, this will be a certain change of pace... or will it?! Ellison Brewery Co., stationed in Reo Town, is set to host this "costume drag brunch" the day of Halloween. Prizes will be given out at this pg-13 event; and if it's one thing the drag community in Lansing can do - it's have a blast (one word: spiral!).
