The USFL sack leader has signed on to a SuperBowl hopeful
DETROIT - Only a few months removed from leading the USFL in sacks (9) as the all-world defensive end on a stout Michigan Panther defense, Breeland Speaks is headed back to the NFL with San Feanciso 49ers. He signed a one year deal.
In 2018, Speaks was drafted into the NFL by the Kansas City Chiefs and enjoyed some success. However, injuries derailed his progression and he ended up cut by the Chiefs by 2020. He was a NFL journeyman until landing with the Panthers of the USFL and calling Ford Field home.
He compiled 9 sacks and 53 tackles this past season in the USFL.
