Flint native, Miles Bridges, launches AAU team for Michigan’s youth

Miles Bridges, current highflying star for the Charlotte Hornets, is launching his own Michigan based AAU team to compete with the likes of some of the best teams in the Midwest region. After a few years of gaining his footing in the NBA, Miles is ready to give back to his home state in the form of opportunity, something that was available to him during the critical years of his journey, as well as brotherhood, another pivotal factor in the lives of growing young men. These are two aspects that Miles can personally speak and relate to. Opportunities to attend in different circuits, programs, and schools while meeting and playing alongside a great pool of talent was a catalyst for Miles. His hard work warranted these opportunities, but being able to experience these things personally provides genuine hope for the next generation of Michigan ballers.

‘Miles Bridges Elite’ looks to be the newest powerhouse added into Michigan’s already competitive AAU field. Miles has always spoke highly and held Michigan in the highest of regards when it comes to the talent of ball players throughout state of Michigan. This latest venture will keep Miles hands on with the steady evolving community of basketball, specifically when it comes to Michigan. They’ll start with 11U, 12U, and 14U boys travel teams. Tryouts start Saturday, with registration begging at 11:30am. New Standard Academy, located on 2040 W Carpenter Rd, Flint, MI will host the first session of tryouts for the 11U and 12U teams. Oakland Fieldhouse, located on 2139 Austin Ave, Rochester Hills MI, will host the tryouts for the 14U team the following day.
